ISTC-CNR @ AI*IA 2015
From the 22nd to the 25th of September 2015, the 14th Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA 2015) was held in Ferrara, Italy. The conference hosted a rich program of workshops, technical sessions covering most of the AI areas, and a panel on the future of AI. Invited speakers complemented the conference program: Laurent Perron (Google), Kristian Kersting (Fraunhofer Institute), Oren Etzioni (Allen Institute for A.I.) and Kevin Warwick (Conventry University).
The ISTC-CNR Planning and Scheduling Technology Laboratory provided a significant contribution to the program.
Gabriella Cortellessa and AndreA Orlandini co-chaired with other researchers two of the conference workshops (respectively, the 6th Italian Workshop on Planning and Scheduling (IPS) and the 2nd Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (AIRO)).
Three of our papers have been selected for the main conference sessions:
- Efficient Power-aware Resource Constrained Scheduling and Execution for Planetary Rovers
Daniel Diaz, Amedeo Cesta, Angelo Oddi, Riccardo Rasconi and Maria Dolores Rodriguez-Moreno
- Integrating Logic and Constraint Reasoning in a Timeline-based Planner
Riccardo De Benedictis and Amedeo Cesta
- Enriching a Temporal Planner with Resources and a Hierarchy-based Heuristic
Alessandro Umbrico, Marta Cialdea Mayer and Andrea Orlandini
The conference also hosted the elections of the Association Officers for the next two years term. Amedeo Cesta has been elected member of the
Board of Directors and later confirmed as President of the Association for his second term. Angelo Oddi has been elected as member of the Association Board of Auditors.
