Percezione ed assunzione del rischio in adolescenza: Questionario dei comportamenti a rischio nei giovani

In this study we analyzed the effect of the child's temperamental characteristics, quality of relationship with his mother and his mental models of attachment on the social status of children within the peer group. We measured the 'acceptance into the group through peer sociometric techniques, in a sample of 224 persons of school age. The quality of mother-child relationship was measured by direct observation at home, in a sub-sample consists of 34 children and their mothers. The temperament of these children was measured by a questionnaire administered to the mothers, maternal mental models of attachment through the 'Adult Attachment Interview. From our results it appears that few are temperamental characteristics related directly to social success, and these appear, however, related to the interaction styles of the mothers, who are nevertheless affected by maternal attachment patterns. If they are insecure and the child has a difficult temperament is the outcome in terms of rejection by peers. There, where mothers are insecure temperament easily arises, however, as a protective factor, and mitigates managerial behavior by the parent and the non-acceptance by peers.
