I got a degree in Natural Sciences and then a PhD in Animal Biology from the University of Rome "La Sapienza". I began studying primate behavior in 2000. During my PhD, I conducted field research at the National Park of Brasilia, Brazil, and I was a visiting student at the University of Brasilia. Then, I was a post-doctoral research fellow at CNR and I have been also a visiting scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig, Germany. I am currently working at CNR, Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies, Rome. I have authored several publications in scientific journals and books and participated in several research and didactic projects. I regularly supervise students for their Master or PhD thesis.
