Nicola Guarino appointed as ECCAI Fellow
At the recent ECAI Conference (the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence) held in Montpellier, France, end of August 2012 our colleague Nicola Guarino has been appointed as ECCAI Fellow. Congratulations to him!!
ECCAI is the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence. The ECCAI Fellows Program has been started in 1999 to recognize individuals who have made significant, sustained contributions to the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in Europe. The ECCAI Fellows Program honors only a very small percentage of the total membership of all ECCAI member societies (up to a maximum of 3%).
It is worth underscoring how it is the second time that a CNR researcher is nominated as a Fellow, the previous one being Cristiano Castelfranchi in 2003 (again a colleague from ISTC!). See complete ECCAI fellows list here.
