Laura Bonelli is a PhD fellow in Cognitive Psychology at the University "La Sapienza" with a background in philosophy and in linguistic pragmatics. Her PhD project deals with the cognitive processes and behavioral changes in environmental risk management and it is part of the OR2 section of the extended project CL.A.R.A. (CLoud PlAtform and smart underground imaging for natural Risk Assessment).
Her main research interests include (and are not limited to): emotion and affectivity in interaction, communicative and persuasive strategies of emotion elicitation, empathy, dynamics of interpersonal trust, anticipation and associated emotions (especially hope, surprise and fear), grounding, vulnerability, intimacy, attachment in adults, identity and self-disclosure on social media channels, conversation analysis, opinion dynamics and social influence, and computer mediated communication.
